A1 - Setting up the management structure The objective of this activity was to ensure the quality of the project management at all levels by establishing a clear and shared framework for project implementation among partners, by regulating the relationships among them, and by agreeing on the political and logistical milestones within the consortium.

A2 – Formalization of the 3 regional strategic plans; design and implementation of a training needs analysis The objective of this activity, which constituted the basis for all the others, was to agree on a reliable, accurate and shared educational offer in each of the three region in management and administration of computer network security. This was achieved through the prior identification of specific and generic competencies needed by the target companies, and it provided the professors and, more generally, the developers of didactic contents with all information needed to achieve reliable results in their analysis.

A3 - Development of programs, courses content and teaching resources of the Bachelor and Master’s Degree The objective of this activity was to ensure that the programs are in line with the Bologna process and adapted to the training needs identified in the survey, while respecting national legislation and standards; support the partner universities in the implementation of the activities of their action plan; train teachers in the new subjects related to skills and competencies required by the companies; provide the leading universities with a suitable resource center; anticipate the digitization of productions that would later be performed in Lot 5.

A4 – Training of minimum 270 students in each of the three regions; sustainability of the new educational offer. The goal was to enrol at least 270 students in each country: the target was easily reached. This activity allowed an extensive testing of the programme. Where needed, contents were modified and adapted.

A5 - The new academic programmes are accessible online The new programmes and didactic resources developed in the previous activities were made available online in an interactive way; teachers involved in the delivery of the new programmes were trained using new technologies; students are now able to access via internet a digital training space where they find didactic contents, interactive tools, and tutor assistance necessary to succeed.

A6 - Optimization of employability and of the entrepreneurial attitude of students The objective of this activity was to ensure high level of employability for the students. To achieve this the following criteria were applied: development of training that is shaped on real needs of businesses; teachers were trained to accompany each student through the job search process and to shape their entrepreneurial attitude and encourage them to develop innovative business creation initiatives.

A7 - Development of a modular lifelong learning device on the administration and security of computer systems and networks This activity was aimed at developing professional training courses for employees and professionals in the IT sector, needing to acquire new skills and keep abreast of the latest developments in the sector of computer security. Flexible and individualised paths are now offered by all partner universities both in presence and by distance learning .

A8 - Design and implementation of an action plan for the dissemination and for the sustainability of results The objective of this activity was to: - develop a plan for sharing information about project activities and achievements to all stakeholders; - permanently associate ministries in project work and in validating the results; - design attractive media dissemination; - use the networks of all partners and distribute information through their departments; - offer project outputs openly and for free and make them easy accessible; - scale up the experience of the trainers involved; - involve the private sector.

A9 - Quality control and monitoring The objective of this activity, transversal to all the others, was to allow a qualitative and quantitative, permanent and progressive evaluation of each outcome and activity. This will involved crossing procedures, independent and external to the project, for reliable quality control; analysing general indicators as well as specific indicators of the project; including accreditation standards of education ministries among the indicators.

A10 - Steering and project management The objective of this activity was to establish procedures, to set operational control bodies and to define the responsible person/institution for every activity. It also ensured optimal management of funds by all partners, strictly according with program management rules; compliance of partner management practices with EACEA guidelines, including training their accountants; avoid non-eligible expenditure for partners; aim for the best output cost / performance / duration.

ACTIVITIES AND RESULTS

Activities in each Partner Country

  • Create a professional License and Master degree for the development, administration, management, protection of computer systems and networks in companies in Moldova, Kazakhstan and Vietnam and train 270 students
  • Create a lifelong training modular system and train 50 employees
  • Write accessible programs and courses in open and distance learning
  • Open a regional center of excellence equipped with a technological platform in computer science
  • Improve 60 professors in the renovation of university courses
  • Improve in the EU, 24 (10KZ, 8MD, 6VN) teachers on the specific courses renovated for new programs
  • Train 60 teachers in the FOAD (e-design and e-training)
  • Create 12 dual joint degrees or diplomas

Objectives and expected results

The objective is to train highly qualified graduates with vocational training or professional experience but also academic and professional staff to train them.

  • The creation of 6 business cards, 3 licenses and 3 professional masters,
  • Programs, courses content and teaching resources will be digitized and accessible online
  • The creation of 3 poles of excellence (in each country) for IT security
  • The creation of 3 Didactics Cyberspace
  • Creation of 12 Diplomas or joint degrees
  • Improve the employability of students.
  • Developing the entrepreneurial spirit of students
